At the 47th meeting of the ExCom held in November 2005, was approved a demonstration project for chillers in the Eastern Europe aimed at the replacement of chillers in four countries (Croatia, FRY Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro and Romania).
Within this project, one CFC 11 chiller was replaced with the HFC 134a chiller in the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG). Owing to this project, 0,28 tones of CFC 11 have been collected and destroyed.
This project enabled reduction of consumption of substances that deplete the ozone layer controlled by Montreal protocol and improvement of energy efficiency and thus reduction of greenhouse gases emissions.
